The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked BelgianKortrijk (25-8) on the court of twelfth ranked Dutch Leeuwarden on Sunday night. Visitors were rolled over by Leeuwarden 105-80 . Leeuwarden shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 51.9 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by Kortrijk 's players. American point guard Matt Frierson (188-1997, college: Citadel) orchestrated the victory by scoring 32 points (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field). His fellow American import point guard Joel Murray (183-1999, college: LBSU, agency: Slash Sports) contributed with 20 points, 8 assists and 4 steals for the winners. Five Leeuwarden players scored in double figures. Niels De Ridder (195-2001) answered with 19 points and 7 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) and American guard John Newman III (196-1999, college: Cincinnati) added 10 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Kortrijk. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Leeuwarden have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain twelfth place with 17-16 record. Kortrijk at the other side still keeps top position with eight games lost.
